A Long Overdue Update

I realize it has been forever since I have blogged......SORRY!! I always think I need to blog but never find the time. My 29th birthday was on February 3rd so I thought I could blog about that and of course my kiddos. So here goes another try......

My birthday was Friday the 3rd and I had to work that night so I slept all day. TERRIBLE night on the floor!!! I will be sure to ask for my birthday off next year. The night was crazy and I only had time to set down to chart. Thankfully that is all over and I moved onto Saturday which was much better. My wonderful Aunt (whom we love very much ♥) kept the kids over night and Brad and I headed to Springfield for a much needed night out. I decided I wanted a curio cabinet to display my Precious Moment and Disney figures, so we decided on an oak cabinet and barely got it to fit into our Tahoe. After that we went to the mall to get Zach an "back-up" Build-A-Bear just in case his gets lost. We thought we had lost his puppy dog the other day and it came close to the end of the world until we found him. We ate at the food court in the mall, a trip to wal-mart and then came home. We are such cool and happening people now days....ha ha.

September 2011 Branson Vacation

I some how had a week off work in September, so we decided to take a vacation to Branson and go to Still Waters Resort. We went to Silver Dollar City 2 days, fished at the resort, went shopping, and was just kind of lazy. The room had a kitchen which was wonderful. We cooked almost every meal while we were there.....and if you know us that's strange because we hate to cook. It was just nice to slow down and relax.
It's hard not always getting your way

Summer Fun

Hello everyone. I know it has been a while since I have blogged. I apologize for this. Many people know that I started my nursing career at the hospital which takes up a majority of my time lately. My training is leaving me very exhausted but I love every minute of it. I feel as if I have the best job in the world!! Now if I can get adjusted to the 12 hours shifts life would be great.

Before I started working for the rest of my life my mom and the kids and I went shoping at Branson to buy scrubs for me. While we were driving down the strip I seen that the Smokey and the Bandit Run was in Branson. Trans Am's everywhere and the Snowman's Rig all painted up like the one in the movie along with the rest of the vehicles from the movies. Turns out it was Car Show weekend at Branson. This discovery lead to a phone call to Brad and have him get himself to Branson ASAP to see all of this. The Trans Am also lead to all of us spending the night in Branson. My mom stayed with us as well so she could help me with the kids because once Brad seen all the Smokey and the bandit stuff he was like a kid in a candy store and I didn't have the heart to make him help me with the kids. He was up until like 2am watching the cars cruise the strip. Here are some of the photos that were taken...

As you can see in one of the pictures they were selling shirts, posters, and anything Trans Am. Brad bought all the stuff he liked so this bought me a trip to the Coach store for a new purse. After we dragged Brad away from all the Trans Am's we went and ate at iHop and then all of us but Brad went to the hotel for some much needed sleep. The next day we packed up and made our journey home.

Another adventure these past few weeks was taking down our swimming pool. The kids were not happy that their swimming pool was going bye-bye until next summer. Brad unscrewed the plug to the pool and water went to filling up the yard. Zac didn't like this idea and was trying to screw the plug back in. The kids put on their mud boots and went to stomping in the water. They also got their wagon out and Zac was pulling Abby around the yard.

By the end of the night their boots were overflowing with water and everyone was in need of a bath. Zac and Abby has loved playing outside this summer and always cried when we have to go inside because its so dark outside. We also took Zac to his first WWE wrestling event, but that post will have to be a later date because my kids need to go to bed. I hope to blog more often than I have been lately. Until next time........Angela ♥

A Disney Nut.......I Think So!!!!

I'm kid free today thanks to my mother-in-law so a blog written two days in a row.......a miracle. I feel compelled to write about my love of anything Disney. I know still a kid at heart and I cant help it :) I had always loved the movies and the Disney store and such as a kid. My dream was to visit Disney World one day and see the castle. The dream came true when Brad and I got married in 2002. We spent our honeymoon at Disneyworld.

I got to see the castle and we stayed at The Polynesian Resort. You could see the castle from our hotel and we spent many nights watching the fireworks from the seven seas lagoon beach. The Polynesian was the most beautiful resort I had ever stayed at. I loved all the bamboo and little tikki men statues that were everywhere. This resort will always hold a special place in my heart and I believe we will always stay there on our Disney vacations. While we were there we went to every theme park but the Animal Kingdom....not by choice we just ran out of days. Brad promised me we would go back and the Animal Kingdom would be our fist stop.

Fast forward to January 2009......our second trip to Disney World. By this time we had been blessed with our little boy Zachary. He was 11 months old when we went. Since we needed help along the way with this trip my mom was wonderful enough to accompany us on our journey. Zach was wonderful on the plane ride because he slept the entire flight. We took a cheap 15 dollar stroller with us (best 15 dollars ever spent) and made our way to Disney.

Zach was such a trooper the entire time.....really the best baby ever!! He took many naps in that cheap Wal-Mart stroller. We arrived at our hotel........yes the Polynesian again. The place was a beautiful as I remembered from 2002, maybe more this time since my mom and my son was there with us. The first evening we were there my mom offered to watch Zach while Brad and I went to one of the theme parks. Guess where we went first........The Animal Kingdom? NO....the magic Kingdom!! A girls got to make sure the castle is still there....and the resort is right next to it. We did go to the Animal Kingdom the next day. We also was able to realize what all we missed not going there on our first trip. This trip we went to all the parks except for the water parks. It was a little bit to cold to go swimming in January. However, Brad did go boating....go figure.

My thought were on Disney World today because: 1) My daughter is 16 months old now and has never been. 2) Our 10 year anniversay is coming up next year and we are going back. I'm going to try to convince my husband that it would be such a wonderful expereince to renew our wedding vows at Disney. Everyone please wish me luck on this because I will need it. I guess it will be ok if we dont renew our vows there because at least my whole family will be going. I love the disney motto that all dreams can come true. I dont expect my kids to be disney nuts like me, but it would be nice if they remember their dreams can come true and it dont hurt every once in a while to still feel young at heart (even when they are my age).

Your dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway."

The Second Try is a Charm!!!!

Hello everyone, I'm back. I thought I would give this blog thing a try once again. My husband got upset last night when I told him I deleted my blog page a while back. I laughed at him and said, "yeah I see that you really missed it since you just now found out I deleted it." So here goes try number two :)

Some things have changed since my last blog. I am no longer a stay at home mom now. I recently accepted a nursing position at a local hospital. My start date is August 15th and I'm very nervous. I know this is what I have worked very hard to achieve, but it is also my patients health and well-being that I worry about. Nursing school has prepared me but now I am responsible for these patients......can you say scary!!! My poor precepter better have a lot of patience and hopefully a good sense of humor. My training is during the day, but at the end of 16 weeks I start the night shift. I'm a little concerned with the whole sleeping during the day adjustment so I may be a walking Zombie for a while.

Another change is that my baby is not a baby anymore. She is knocking on the door of 16 months. She is my little monster (and not the Lady GaGa kind). She is also our last child, so it is a little bitter sweet that the baby phase is over. Honestly, Brad and I don't like the baby phase!! Getting up every three hours for a feeding made us walking Zombies. We love the stages our children are in now because they are big enough to take and do things (like Silver Dollar City and The Track GoKarts). Zac really is next to brad in the GoKart you just cant hardly see him.

I think I will end this post here, so until next time..................
